Karatsev looks set to link up with his countryman Rublev in Dubai later today.
In the previous round of the competition, Rublev defeated Fucsovics 7-5, 6-2 to book a spot in the Dubai Duty-Free Tennis Championships’ semi-finals.
However, after the game, Fucsovics told Rublev that he wished never to meet the Russian again this year.
It’s safe to say that Rublev is a fierce opponent to mess with at the moment. Rublev has also won 23 consecutive matches so far at the ATP 500 games and has lost just five sets.
Karatsev will hope that he gets the best out of his countryman when they meet today at 3pm GMT.
The two players played together last week and won Doha Double Titles at the ATP Cup. Still, this is a different test for both players as they hope to get to the final lap of the ATP 500 games.
Our Prediction: Rublev to win in three sets
Who do you think will get a spot in the final game?
